Chocolate Chai Syrup

with Tipu's Chai

Adapted from, this simple chocolate syrup has our bold & authentic chai added to give your ice cream a little #chailove.

Of course we love our chai with everything and anything – but let’s face it who doesn’t love ice cream with chocolate sauce on it. We decided to add a little of our Tipu’s Chai Now Unsweetened Chai Tea® (just tea and spices) to the chocolate sauce recipe to add a little spice.

After topping our favorite ice cream, Three Twins “Dad’s Cardamom” with the syrup, we created a perfect chai-licious marriage of flavors.

Create your own combinations; sundaes, banana splits, brownie sundaes or even use it to pour over a piece of warm pound cake.  Send us your pictures or post them to our facebook page!

Chocolate Chai Syrup with Tipu's Chai

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine Tipu’s Chai now Unsweetened Chai Tea, cocoa, sugar and water.
  2. Stir until all ingredients are mixed.
  3. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Let cool & then decant into your favorite container
    1. (Or pour over ice cream hot for a “hot fudge sundae”!)
